An award winning music video director and audio producer, Ben Lindesmith has acquired a wide variety of creative disciplines in his 15 year career. As an independent content producer, Ben has produced and engineered more then 30 albums, worked as lead editor for the feature film “Rolling Stoned” (2011), directed the web series “Welcome to the Ranchero” (2012), served as video team director for Norman Music Festival (2009 – 2011), founded Zanzibar! Studios (2000), Zanzibar! Records (2010), and co-founded Zanzibar! Media (2012).
Chase Spivey has worked in audio production for the past 11 years and as a videographer and photographer for the past 3. Chase has been commissioned for public art works by the Norman Arts Council, co-founded both the Form and Function Lab and Zanzibar! Media, and works as the video director for the Norman Music Festival. He also won the 2010 Fair Trade My Town photograph competition sponsored by Fairtrade International.
Thom Proctor is a composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer, and engineer. Since 1997, he has written commissioned scores for films, plays, television, and new media. As a performer, he has played with rock and folk bands, marching and symphonic wind ensembles, choral groups, bell choirs, and orchestras in the United States, Europe, and Australia. In 2009-2010, he worked as an Audio Engineer at Wheeler Audio of Kansas City, and his sound design work can be heard in advertisements for NASCAR and Sprint. Thom holds a Master of Fine Arts in Film Music Composition from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
Photography and Media Acquisition
With a degree in Photojournalism and Design Studies from the University of Minnesota, Heather Lindesmith worked both as a photographer with Minnesota-based Quest Productions and project coordinator for Street Factory Media. As the winner of the 2007 Apple Computers/Red Bull sponsored design competition “Get It On Record,” Heather has had the opportunity to work with companies such as Red Bull, 3M, State Farm Insurance, Imation, and EA Games. After moving to Oklahoma in 2011 to work with the Flaming Lips, Heather joined the creative team at Zanzibar! Group where she brings valued experience as a guerrilla marketeer with an eye for detail.
